Unlock your passion for singing and acting in this dynamic course for passionate young performers. Collaborate with a NIDA Open Teaching Artist to develop performance skills and explore popular Musical Theatre works. Learn how the voice works develop singing technique and create believable characters for the stage. Components: Voice and Song – develop confidence with singing technique; Acting Technique – apply NIDA acting technique in musical theatre; Physical awareness – movement to inform character and storytelling; Performance – apply acting singing and movement to a short musical presentation. Grades 7-10. 5 days 35 hours.
